Got loads of herbs - was wondering whether I could dump a load of mint into some cheapish vodka - or would other spirits be better?

this is my first post, so here goes.

most things can and have been put into vodka for flavour.  i have experimented with many and found a few things that work well.  Any sweets (hard sweets or chocolate bars) can be put into a bottle of vodka.
1.bottle halffull with desired sweets, worthington(just like your granddad gave you) work well, although any will do.
2. top up with vodka
3. seal bottle with lid and place on its side in dishwasher
4. start dishwasher on hot cycle
5. remove and shake bottle during process
6. leave bottle on the side to bring back to room temp then chill in fridge.

this method will work with all mannor of things from mars bars to blackberry's, although blackberry's take a few weeks to mature  properly.  but experiment with this and see what you can make.  I have made something similar with herbs but not you supermarket varieties
